This project saw the Fruitmarket Gallery re purposed as a flagship store for the British perfume house Penhaligons.  This took inspiration from Penhaligon’s first perfume ‘Hammam Bouquet’ and used the shapes and forms in Turkish bathhouses as one of the key concepts. Geometric shapes were used throughout this project as a nod to British designer David Hicks and keeping to Penhaligon’s British heritage. The ground and first floor of the building contrast in colour, and the light-filled first floor is designed as a sensory experience, showcasing some of Penhaligon’s signature scents.
