My Final Major Project for my Foundation Diploma saw the exploration and investigation into 'morbid curiosity', otherwise known as 'rubber necking'. My research took me on a journey which ended at 'dark tourism', defined as tourism involving travel to places historically associated with death and tragedy. The final piece for this project was a triptych depicting the events before, during and after the Chernobyl disaster of 1986, showing how the landscape had changed, from a place of tragedy to a place of intrigue. The triptych was inspired by Bosch's 'Garden of Earthly Delights'.
